Dr. Richard Asks...
Introducing Tucson Chiropractor Dr. Richard Casabona
For years I suffered with allergies…

In early middle school I suffered with horrible allergies and hay fever. I could not enjoy the outdoors or sports like my friends. After having Chiropractic care my allergies stopped. I was able to play football without any adverse reactions. I seemed to notice that I performed better in the games when I had chiropractic care before the game. Also, since my head was not plugged up, I felt like I could focus more in school. This led to an improvement in my grades. That was how I choose to be a Doctor of chiropractic by the eighth grade.
Since I knew I wanted to be a chiropractor since eighth grade I have been blessed to have met and followed around some of the top chiropractors in our profession. I have travelled thousands of miles and invested 100’s hours to bring the most up to date care to our community.
While attending the L.A. College of chiropractic, I realized that adjustments alone only temporarily relieved symptoms and pain, I knew I had to learn how to attempt to correct the spine to as near to normal as possible. I searched for a method of chiropractic that made permanent corrections. I decided to take several courses in spinal biomechanics such as chiropractic biophysics, Pettibon technique and Gonstead.
As a research and science driven person, I was happy to find the meaning and science behind the system of care that makes measurable corrections of the spine. It made perfect sense to me that to correct an abnormal spine and posture and hold that correction; you must strengthen the postural muscles and ligaments that hold the spine in place.
I enjoy empowering and teaching people how to improve their lives and how to take care of themselves so they aren’t dependent on me. I have been excited about bringing this new type of care to Tucson. Pairing the knowledge with the state of the art facility has helped thousands already. We focus on a normal and health spine as a clinical outcome. People lose this normal position from traumas incurred throughout life. An abnormal position of the spine puts pressure on tissues thus causing pain. Unless the spine is fixed or as near normal as possible pain becomes a part of one’s life. And suffering is no way to live.

My wife Joann, is the "backbone" of the home and family. We both enjoy serving in Tucson. We are blessed with five wonderful children that keep us active in the community. We love outdoor activities and sports together, and feel like Tucson is a perfect place for a healthy, active lifestyle.
We believe chiropractic care is a very important part of health. Myself, my family and staff all have weekly chiropractic check ups. A proper functioning nerve supply, along with exercise and good nutrition help us enjoy life here in Tucson.
I hope you learned something about me and I look forward to getting to know you and creating a special success story with you.
